The new found siblings do not exactly get along very well. They also are not too happy with the long journey to the very remote area where Joshua Cabe lives. Upon arriving, the men in town greet the daughters with a mixture of skepticism and delight. Joshua learns his credit at the local store is no good when he attempts to buy clothing for the girls (Ada offers some ill-gotten gains to help).
