The next day, a friendly neighbor Wyatt
Cosgrove come to visit. With him he brings many farm
animals for the Morrisons. As they continue to fix up the
house, Penny reassures Buddy once again that they will be
happy in their new home. Buddy is wanting
to ride Ned her burrow, but Jeff is not sure she should. Buddy makes
unfair comparisons of Jeff to her father.
Finally Jeff gives in. Penny again talks to Buddy about how much
Jeff loves her and wants her to be happy in their new home.
The family continues to fix up the old house and
Penny tries her hand at milking a cow. Wyatt tells Jeff that
Ned, Buddy's beloved Burrow days are numbered and needs tender loving
care. Penny, who is unaware of this, pleads with Jeff to ride her pet
to school. She wants to fit in with the other kids who ride their
horses to school. Jeff once again gives in, and Buddy rides Ned
to school the next day.
