Sandra Dee : Young Model

In April, 1955; Sandra's first modeling job was for American Girl Magazine on the cover and in the feature "Cooking With Judy".( More is here.) At age 13,(some sources say 10) Sandra modeled back-to- school fashions for Alexanders Department Store in New York.At 14, ( above center) she was on the cover of International Magazine. Sandra also appeared on the cover of "The American" Magazine in June, 1956. That same year she was a model for American Girl magazine ( above right) and appeared on their covers for a year.Sandra eventually made over 75,000 dollars a year modeling.

Sandra posed at 14 for a St. Valentines Day picture for Good Housekeeping Magazine.
