Meeting Sandra Dee

"Oh What a night!"

Jim Raudy has always been a Sandra Dee fan. He has always loved her innocence and beauty on the movie screen.Her genuine charm always intrigued him and her beauty downright "discombobbled " him.So, imagine the sheer joy and anticipation he was feeling the night of July 17, 1998, when he was going to finally meet Miss Dee!! Jim was "monstrous kind " enough to share his experience with us.
In Jims email to me about his first meeting with Sandra Dee at the "Summer Beach party" event in San Francisco, the subject of the email was approporiately enough, "What a night!".Jim shared that Sandra was delightful and beautiful.He was able to get an autograph before the event started.Sandra was wearing a black pant suit with a white high neck blouse. And Jim, who was very nervous, was kind enough to mention my website to her.She graciously signed everything he offered to her and posed for pictures.Before the big stage event started, Sally, Jims wife, even had a chance encounter with Sandra Dee (and her agent) in the restroom!(Sally was so excited that she forgot to wash her hands!) Jim and Sally both told me meeting Sandra Dee was something they would never forget and the entire event was a lot of fun.
