Meeting Sandra & Troy:
"A Night To Die For!"
"A true kicky experience that we shall never forget!" is one of the many happy comments I recieved in a E-mail from Mary Lee (Marel) Ryan about the Summer Beach Party at Castro theatre in San Francisco.
Marel and her friend Louisa Allen have been Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue fans since they were very young.As Louisa stated it was
"One of the most delightful events" they had ever attended.
Speaking about the celebrity reception held for Sandra and Troy, Louisa said, "The atmosphere
was definitely filled with love for Sandra."Marel and Louisa were able to get many of their precious photographs signed by their favorite stars.("We bonded many times with Troy, and took loads of pictures with him,"Marel said.) "Troy was marvelous to share
memories with and Sandra is still a beautiful lady who is so proud of her
new granddaughter,"Louisa shared.Marel said about Troy,"He is the man, I swear. Too cool for
words !"and Sandra "is as
beautiful as ever,
and has a cute sense of humor.She was very nice, and visited
with us for a while."
Both Marel and Louisa and their friends Alice and Colleen enjoyed the screening of "A Summer Place" and delightful program that went with it.It was "very funny and cleverly done," Marel said.The whole evening was "a night to die for!"
